Session summary

Herr Viktor Goebs, a name lasting already over a century. Well, that is what this night was about. The rather prominent Toreador figure of Ostend wished to celebrate his presence counting 100 years that month. A soiree impossible to forget on many levels giving insight into the finesse of Clan Toreador. Mr. Goebs, already blessed by Clan Toreador by being assigned as responsible for the PMMK and it's influential possibilities. A wise choice when the Toreador Ancilla pulled some strings with the former Prince of Ostend in declaring the Provincial Museum of Post-Modern Artworks a permanent Elysium. Still enforced under the rule of Angélique BelleFleure, the current Prince of Ostend, it was the logical choice to invite many guests to this unique celebration.

All guests strolled in the lower compartments of the museum and were properly announced at the entrance. After a brief check and update by the Neonate Ventrue Keeper of Elysium, Jean Vermoote everyone was personally greeted by the Toreador Ancilla host Herr Viktor himself. The guest list in itself was quite impressive with an astonishing presence of many Kindred even from outside the Domain of Ostend. At the entrance one was immediately greeted by a couple of white marble statues giving away the elegance of the night. Corridors filled with antique weapons, imposing in any personal collection of antique warfare, unusual to say the least of any Toreador, but according to the host it was merely an investment and his way of ensuring a steady income in a business he knew everything about. A special wing of the museum was decorated with a collection, the most private and daring of all. The collected photographical images of Viktor Goebs around the globe with certain major cities in which the Toreador had taken interest in a certain moment of his afterlife. Everywhere you could see the Toreador posing with his usual flair before many of the most known buildings of Europe. Mr. Goebs in Amsterdam, Madrid, Barcelona, Firenze, Rome, Prague and Paris of course, as Viktor would say it himself.

Anyone taking a walk admiring the collection would surely be intercepted by the host himself filling their heads with many stories of his adventures in these prominent cities of Europe. Interesting stories could be heard about the absence of the Camarilla in Barcelona and stories about Carlak the Usurper Prince of Prague, even encounters with the prestigious Methuselah Prince of Paris François Villon in person.

A lot of new Kindred visited Ostend due to the many invitations of Viktor. Several new faces were Nikolaï Malduvic and Ando Harkan of Clan Ventrue, Cid Storme of Clan Nosferatu, Jake Blake and Lode Vanacker of Clan Brujah, Levi and Schmauss of Clan Malkavian, Zex and Eric Neevisable of Clan Gangrel, all neonates of the Domain of Bruges.

Clan Tremere made the most remarkable entrance arriving all together like clockwork accompanied by their Ancilla Marguerite Voss. Revered by all Tremere present it was obvious she held a dignitary position within her Clan in the Domain of Ostend itself. Later that night another Tremere Ancilla introduced himself as Manfred Goeghebuer requesting temporary residence on the Domain.

Once everyone had arrived and most of them had seated themselves with pleasurable company, Viktor introduced his support throughout his travels and many adventures; Francis. Francis, a modest looking ghoul with intelligence sparkling in his eyes proved the excitement of the evening. His unmatched skill on the piano moved the many Toreador and even other Kindred present regularly with his interpretation of several known masterpieces entwined with own creations.

A noticable absence of Prince BelleFleure together with her newly appointed Gangrel Scourge Van Heyne and the Tremere Ancilla Voss could only rise questions in what way the loyalty of her court was assured.

A firm independent attitude of Willem silenced any rumours concerning a bond of blood between Her Majesty and the servitude of the Scourge but it is still said that the vigour in which Willem executes his new position is questionable indeed. Beginning with the party crashers Zex and Eric Neevisable, clan members of the Scourge. At some point during the night the neonate Eric barged into the Elysium shouting and ranting on about Foulard, the Ancilla Nosferatu who was recently bloodhunted by Prince BelleFleure as a gesture to the bloodhunt declared on the neighbouring Domain of Bruges by Prince Novak.

Immediately acting upon this intrusion many Kindred secured the perimeters around the Elysium in search of the Nosferatu. Not a moment later, Zex made his way into the Elysium as well, in a rather unorthodox fashion. Completely undressed he literally crashed the conservatory Plexiglas’ ceiling.

Both Gangrel neonates were taken into custody by Sheriff Kiriloff and even Scourge Van Heyne assisted in dealing with these party crashers. Later that night, after rather swift interrogations concerning their affairs in the sewers of Ostend they were escorted away by the Brujah Sheriff Alexei and his clan mate Tanner. The Scourge made sure the Kindred’s associates did not follow the Brujah entourage much to the dissatisfaction of several Brugian neonates.

As serene as any soiree could fill the night, the Toreador host Viktor Goebs chose to completely ignore these transgressions and invited everyone to dance and end the night in style and elegance as it had begun, in spite of the intrusion. Accepted by all, the soiree did not end in discussions and bickering about the latest events, but the Kindred danced the night away upon Francis’s melody.
